I'm Kaz and I founded Sweat Equity Wellness to make deep health (personal training, holistic health, and nutrition coaching) truly accessible to everyone.
As a martial artist and fitness coach with years of experience, I noticed that despite the rhetoric of inclusivity in the fitness world, it often falls short in practice. Gendered language, inaccessible facilities for people with disabilities, the same body types representing "fitness" on social media, and inequitable, premium rates create a disconnect between words and actions.
At Sweat Equity Wellness, we believe that health is diverse and unique for each individual. We celebrate our differences in shapes, sizes, and appearances, recognizing that we don't need to conform to a single standard.
I SEE YOU
I recognize the whole person that YOU are, not the person I think you should be
I HEAR YOU
You know yourself the best. Your experiences and circumstances matter. I will always listen
I VALUE YOU
You are an individual who deserves equitable treatment, access, and respect
This will always be a safe, positive, judgment-free zone. I don't expect you to be perfect (there is no such thing). I am here for your success, to help you navigate fitness and nutrition within YOUR OWN life.
It's about what works for YOU, NOT for me.
Ensure access to wellness is available to everyone.
Create a truly inclusive fitness environment that serves people who may feel uncomfortable, ignored, or unseen; who feel that it's impossible or not for them; or that they cannot afford a personal trainer or nutrition coach.
Focus on the whole person, not providing a one-size-fits-all diet and fitness plan.
Remove the physical, emotional, or financial barriers to personal wellness - to meet you where you are, with whatever you need, and whatever goals you have for success. No judgment.
Help you to be your best self, whatever YOUR definition of that is, not mine or anyone else's.
Whilst anyone is welcome to train with me, my focus is on groups who aren't traditionally seen/recognized in the fitness realm - women over 40, transgender, gender-expansive, and people with disabilities.
Training can take place either online or in person, or a combination of both. And if needed can just be nutrition and/or training plan only focused.
No pressure
No sales tactics
Just pure listening and a real discussion to see if we're the right fit for one another
